Sales Letter Sample-ADC

Dear Friend and Neighbor,

This may be a strange way for us to meet. Don’t new neighbors just knock on your door with big smiles and a dried-out casserole? Fortunately, I’ll save you that trip to the front door and casseroles aren’t my thing.

If you continue reading, there could be foods far more delicious than dried-out casserole in your future, but more on that later.

The purpose of this letter is to ask you two questions:

  1.         Why would you give up your comfortable sofa and smart TV for overpriced food and drinks…and a movie?
  2.         What's so special about a bar that shows movies in a theater?

Pretty straightforward, right? C’mon, let’s find out the answers!

The Answer to Question 1 is: Because Humans Need Experiences!

That’s how you live and learn in life. Some people go skydiving and live to talk about it…when their parachute deploys properly. That sounds extreme, but you get the point.

Some people go on cruise ships and sail away to beautiful islands. They spend half the time on a ship, in the ocean, in the middle of nowhere, and have a blast!

I’m heading into left field here, so let’s get back on track.

The cinema or movie-going experience has not lost its mojo. It’s a great experience that takes your imagination on a two-hour journey. Movies still tug and claw at your emotions with high-speed action and heart-wrenching words throughout the film.

Now, picture yourself having these emotions in a soft, cushiony recliner. The kind that hugs your entire body. Take a moment and settle in…

Not to disturb your experience, but a server brings you a refreshing beverage and tasty “knick-knacks” (that’s fancy talk for appetizers).

Would any movie-going experience be complete without, go ahead, say it…popcorn?

As convenient as streaming platforms are, do they really provide an experience that suspends reality when the moment you look away from the TV, you’re at home?

I think not. Perhaps, you don’t think so either.

And the second question that was asked above:

What’s So Special About A Bar That Shows Movies in Theaters?

The answer is pretty simple.

When you love movies and you love beer, wine, or cocktails, combining the two was a dream come true. And you know those times when you don’t feel like a movie, but you want to experience a bit of life away from home?

Yup. I bet you have a clue.

Well, that’s the beauty of having a bar filled with seating for dining, stools for chilling at the bar, and even sofas to lounge on with a delicious cocktail or a perfectly poured beer straight from the tap.

The theme of the bar, you ask? Well, it’s movies, of course. And without giving too much away (because we’d love for you to visit in person), it’s a…hmmm, let’s call it a “mini-movie museum” complete with its very own gift shop.

(Hint: think self-defense)

Are you curious about any of this? Even a little?

Well, it is my sincere hope that the two questions asked in this letter were answered to your liking.
